The 5 Ways to Wellbeing

  • Connection and Communication

We are not born to be alone. We are here to connect whether its online, in person or over the phone. Try talking to someone new, pic up the phone to a friend, Sit with a neighbour. Set up a group for dog walkers.

  • Learn something new - Educate yourself

Sign up to a library, a new class, new recipes, write a book, read a new book, learn a new skill such as gardening or art therapy. Read something educational each day. Help the children or a friend with research.

  • Awareness - Being Mindful

Be mindful or what you are eating, drinking. Be aware of the words you use to yourself and others. Visit new places. Take notice of nature. Enjoy people and the environment that surrounds you.

  • Giving - Its rewarding

Social activities and helping others makes us happy too. Try volunteering at your local hospital, school or library. Volunteer a skill for free. Make someone a lunch or cup of tea. Visit an elderly neighbour. Offer to do some shopping.

  • Get going - move more- get active

We know exercise increases positivity and mental health. Plus it improves sleep. Walk in your lunch hour, get off the bus 1 stop earlier, walk the dog, start a new class with a friend. Take up cycling or yoga/pilates.
